Mingenew

Mingenew was named after Mingenew Spring. The word Mingenew is believed to be an aboriginal word possibly derived from Minganu, meaning 'Place of many ants' or Mininoo, meaning 'Place of many waters'.

Mingenew is referred to as 'The Grain Centre' as it is recognised as having the largest inland grain Receival Site Facility In The Southern Hemisphere. The CBH Site Has A Holding Capacity Of Approximately 403,000 Tons Of Grain.

Mingenew is located approximately 1 hour south of Geraldton and 3 1/2 hours north of Perth. Mingenew is home to an amazing array of wildflowers, including our famous carpets of everlastings and pom poms at Coalseam Park and Depo Hill Reserve.
